Obadiah
The Lord speaks against Edom’s pride
Who looks with scorn on Jacob’s side
Though mountains high and forts so strong
Their sins shall not escape for long
You stole, you gloated, caused the fall
But God will judge, He sees it all
The day of vengeance shall appear
Your arrogance shall bring great fear
The house of Jacob, though oppressed
Shall rise again, by God blessed
The savior comes, the kingdom stands
Restored by God’s almighty hands
Though violence once filled the land
The Lord will act, His will is planned
The exiles return, the captives freed
And justice blooms from every seed
The prideful nation shall be shown
The Lord will cast them from their throne
Their hearts that mocked, their tongues that lied
Shall quake when God stands at their side
The mountain heights belong to Him
The low shall rise, the proud grow dim
The day of Lord brings light & peace
All wicked schemes will find release
Though Edom’s walls once seemed secure
The Lord’s great power shall endure
The faithful shall possess the land
As promised by His mighty hand
Thus Obadiah warns the proud
Yet comforts those oppressed & bowed
The message clear, the call is near
God’s justice comes, His people cheer
Though brief the book, its truth is strong
God’s mercy, wrath, & right belong
To Him who sees, to Him who saves
To Him who rules both skies & waves
