 The angel comes to Zacharias’ ear

A priest shall have a son to cheer

John the Baptist grows strong & wise

Preparing the way before all eyes

Mary hears Gabriel’s voice so clear

A virgin chosen to bear Him dear

Emmanuel sent to bless the earth

The Savior brings God’s kingdom birth

Shepherds watch their flocks by night

Angels proclaim the holy light

Glory to God on high above

Peace on earth from God’s great love

Jesus grows in wisdom grace & fame

His parents marvel at His name

At twelve He teaches in the temple court

His Father’s business is His life’s report

He is baptized in Jordan’s stream

The Spirit descends a holy gleam

Tempted forty days in desert wild

Yet conquers Satan God’s faithful child

He calls the twelve to follow Him near

Healing the sick & casting out fear

Parables spoken of seeds & lights

The lost sheep found on starry nights

Feeding the multitude with five loaves & two

Walking on water His power true

Forgiving sins the lame arise

Mercy & justice in His eyes

He teaches to love enemies

Pray for all who persecute with ease

The rich & poor His words embrace

The kingdom comes with saving grace

On the road to Jerusalem He goes

Predicting death that all will know

Raising Lazarus from the grave

Showing the power of the One who saves

He enters the city riding low

Hosanna shouts the people show

The Last Supper breaks bread & wine

“This is My body My blood divine”

Betrayed & tried nailed to tree

Darkness falls yet victory

The stone rolled back the angel said

He is risen from the dead

Go tell the nations far & near

The kingdom of God is always here
