Ezra
From Persia’s land the call was heard
God stirred the hearts by Cyrus’ word
The exiles rose to journey home
To build again Jerusalem’s dome
The altar raised with sacrifice
They offered worship pure & nice
The temple’s stones began to stand
Though enemies opposed the plan
The work was slowed by fear & strife
Yet prophets called to faith & life
Haggai & Zechariah spoke
& stirred the people when hope broke
So builders worked with zeal once more
The house was finished as before
With joy they praised with feast & song
God’s presence dwelt where hearts belong
Ezra then came with law in hand
To teach the truth across the land
A priest well learned in holy ways
He sought the Lord in prayer & praise
He led reforms with courage bright
Restoring worship pure & right
He called the people back to stand
Obedient to God’s command
Though trials rose & sins appeared
The fear of God kept hearts revered
Ezra proclaimed both grace & law
To guide the people free from flaw
The book declares God’s mercy true
He brings His chosen home anew
Through temple, law & covenant clear
He keeps His word & draws us near
