Ruth: A Story of Faith and Love
In days when judges ruled the land,
A woman faced life’s harsh command.
Naomi lost her kin and home,
To Moab she chose then to roam.
Her daughters-in-law walked beside,
But Ruth’s heart stayed close, her faith her guide.
“Where you go, I’ll go,” she said,
To Naomi’s God, her spirit wed.
Back to Bethlehem, they returned,
Where fields of barley softly burned.
Ruth gleaned grain with humble care,
Under Boaz’s watchful stare.
Boaz, a kinsman, kind and just,
Protected Ruth, earned her trust.
With love and law, he claimed the right,
To marry her, bring hope and light.
From this union came a line,
David’s family, a king divine.
A story small, but rich and deep,
Of faith that sows what love will reap.
Ruth shows kindness, loyalty, grace,
God’s hand at work in every place.
A tale of hope, in darkest times,
Where faithfulness sings in gentle rhymes
