The fear of God is wisdom’s start

It guides the mind & guards the heart

Through knowledge, skill & understanding

We walk in paths both safe & standing

The wise will hear & grow in skill

The foolish rush, ignore God’s will

A gentle word can calm the strife

While anger leads to pain & life

A friend who speaks with truth & care

Is treasure rare beyond compare

The tongue can heal or bring great harm

So speak with grace & gentle charm

Hard work brings wealth & honor too

While laziness will empty you

The plans of just are sure & sound

Their steps are steady, safe, profound

Pride goes before a heavy fall

But humble hearts will heed God’s call

Riches may fade, but virtue stays

The righteous live in all their days

Parents instruct with love & fear

Their wisdom guides the young to steer

Seek counsel, listen, learn & grow

God’s teaching leads where blessings flow

The mouth of fools will tell the lies

The lips of wise bring peace & ties

Kindness & mercy walk with grace

They lift the hearts of every place

Trust in the Lord, your strength & stay

He guides your feet & lights the way

Through Proverbs we learn truth & skill

To walk in paths of God’s good will
