Malachi

The Lord declares His words so true

To Israel, both faithful & few

He calls them back from sin & pride

To walk in Him, with Him abide

“I have loved you,” says the Lord

Yet you complain, ignore My word

You offer sacrifices, but your hearts

Are far from Me, their faith departs

The priests are warned to honor Me

With purest hearts, sincerity

For I will judge both rich & poor

And keep My covenant evermore

Your words are vain, your hearts complain

You rob Me of the tithes & gain

Return the offerings, seek My grace

And I will bless you in this place

The Lord rebukes the proud & sly

The arrogant shall never fly

Yet those who fear Him, walk His ways

Shall see the sun of righteousness raise

Elijah comes before that day

To turn the hearts, to show the way

The father to the children turned

The wicked paths to good discerned

He promises a judgment true

The righteous shine, the wicked rue

God’s covenant stands, His love endures

His faithfulness forever ensures

Remember, hearts, to honor Him

Avoid all greed, all actions grim

The messenger shall come to show

The Lord is faithful, this we know

Thus Malachi ends the sacred scroll

The final words to lift the soul

Through justice, mercy, call, & prayer

God’s faithful love is always there
