Joshua: The Promised Land’s Call
Moses gone, but God remains,
Joshua leads through trials and plains.
A mighty warrior, brave and true,
To bring God’s promise into view.
Crossing Jordan’s rushing tide,
With ark of God, they step inside.
Walls of Jericho fall down low,
At sound of trumpets, trumpets blow.
Conquest starts, the battles rage,
God’s power guides from page to page.
From Ai to many towns around,
Victory in each place is found.
Tribes divided, lands assigned,
A heritage by God designed.
Cities built and altars raised,
God’s law honored, hearts amazed.
Yet warnings given loud and clear,
Serve the Lord, have no fear.
Turn away, the land you’ll lose,
Stay faithful—God will not refuse.
Joshua’s last words plead and teach,
Serve God always, His love reach.
“Choose whom you will obey,
But I and mine will serve today.”
The book ends with covenant renewed,
A people strong, their faith pursued.
The promised land, a place to grow,
Where God’s blessings freely flow.
