Jeremiah
The Lord called Jeremiah young
To speak His word with faithful tongue
He warned of sin & Judah’s fall
Yet offered hope to one & all
The people mocked, the leaders scorned
His life was grief, his heart was worn
He cried to God in pain & fear
Yet held His message ever near
Idols were broken, vows betrayed
The city faced the doom God laid
But still a remnant would remain
To rise in faith through loss & pain
The Lord declared a covenant new
A heart of flesh to guide them true
He promised mercy, life restored
And all His children kept by word
Through famine, chains, & exile dread
Jeremiah trusted what God said
Though lonely, sorrowful, oppressed
He placed his hope in God’s own rest
The people turned but few obeyed
Yet God’s great plan was not delayed
He called them back from paths of shame
To walk in truth & praise His name
Thus Jeremiah stands to show
That even through despair & woe
God’s steadfast love will never cease
And brings His people lasting peace
