SIRACH (Catholic Bible)

Sirach

Hear the words of one who knows
The ways of life & all it shows
Seek wisdom, follow truth & care
And God will guide you everywhere

Honor parents, show them love
Respect the humble, fear above
Be kind to poor & stranger too
And mercy shall be given you

The tongue can bless or bring great harm
Speak gently, use your words with charm
The wise are patient, slow to fight
The foolish rush & lose the light

Observe the laws & walk with grace
Avoid the proud, the sinful race
Give alms, uphold the covenant
And God will bless your heart’s intent

In wealth, be humble, generous, true
In sorrow, trust the Lord to renew
For life is fleeting, time is short
Yet wisdom builds a lasting fort

The wise delight in learning still
They honor God & seek His will
The just shall shine like stars above
The wicked fade, devoid of love

Be mindful of the poor & weak
Their needs are great, their hearts will speak
Share food & shelter, comfort, aid
And treasures stored will never fade

Thus Sirach teaches all who hear
To walk in virtue, live sincere
Through prayer & deeds, through law & love
We mirror mercy from above
