Job
In Uz there lived a blameless man
Job walked with God in all he ran
With wealth & children life was fair
He honored God with constant prayer
But Satan came with bold request
To test his faith through trial & test
The Lord allowed the storm to blow
To prove Job’s heart was true below
His herds were gone his children died
His body struck with boils worldwide
His friends arrived with words unkind
They claimed his guilt had caused his bind
Yet Job held fast though deep in pain
He questioned God but not in vain
He longed for truth he sought His face
He yearned to see redeeming grace
His friends accused with speeches long
But their rebuke was harsh & wrong
They said repent confess your sin
Yet Job declared his hands were clean
Elihu spoke with fire anew
Proclaiming God is wise & true
He shows His might in thunder’s call
Yet cares for men both great & small
Then God appeared in whirlwind’s roar
He asked of Job from shore to shore
Where were you when I shaped the seas
Or set the bounds of skies & trees
Humbled low Job bowed his head
He knew God’s wisdom far ahead
He found his place in dust & ground
Yet mercy vast for him was found
The Lord restored his life once more
Twice the riches as before
His family blessed his years were long
His faith refined his heart made strong
Thus Job reveals through trial & pain
God’s purposes are not in vain
Through storms we learn His ways above
& rest secure in endless love
